## How-to Guide

### Confidentiality

The page header reminds you that notes are restricted. When creating a note:

| Option | Who can see it |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Shared** | Authorized pastoral staff in your tenant |
| **Confidential** | Tighter access — flagged with a shield icon on the card |

Stat cards help auditors spot how many confidential records exist without opening each note.

### Categories

Categories come from **Catalogs** (pastoral note categories). Filtering by category speeds up review before elders' meetings or supervision sessions.

### Note content

Each note includes:

* **Title** and rich **Content**
* Linked **Member** (optional)
* **Category** badge
* **Created** date and author metadata

<Steps>

  </Step>

  <Step title="Link the member">

  </Step>

<Tip>
  Pastoral Notes are separate from **Care Requests** (operational tickets) and **AdoraCounsel** case files (formal counseling). Use the right tool for each type of record.
