# Moderation

> Report a catalog listing and understand what happens after a copyright or personal-information report.

**Moderation** is how churches flag a listing and how platform reviewers hide it. It is not a church-to-church approval queue. Copyright and personal-information reports hide the listing from **Discover** immediately. Copies other churches already adopted stay in their libraries.

## Quick Start

1. Open a listing in **Discover** that is not your church’s.
2. Choose **Report this listing**, pick a reason, and add notes when asked.
3. Copyright and personal-information reports disappear from Discover right away. Spam stays listed until a platform moderator reviews it.

## How-to Guide

### Report a listing

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the publication">
    From **Discover**, open a card. You cannot report your own church’s listing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a reason">
    **Copyright** and **Personal information** hide the listing immediately. **Spam** and **Other** stay listed and go to the platform queue. Notes are required except for spam.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit">
    The publisher is not told who reported. Adopted copies in other churches are not deleted.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  Only platform moderators see **Moderation**. Other churches use **Report this listing** on a Discover card.
